This is not your fight, nor is it your salvation. There is no need to pick sides. The current siege on Iran by the hands of Israel and the United States of America is not some football match we ought to cheer on.

Israel have commenced this war with Iran for the purposes of publicity, engagement, and an attempt to remedy their reputation after the genocide that occurred in Gaza. Domestic and international legitimacy is at an all-time low, and following the vanquishing of the Iranian regime, they hold the cult status of bringing down the other number one enemy. Moreover, they establish themselves as the sole superpower of the middle east. Benjamin Netanyahu cares for nothing but the consolidation and preservation of his own power, he is sacrificing the lives of Iranian civilians on the altar of his own political prosperity. This is evidenced by the mass casualties of the revolutionaries they now claim to be representing. This war is nothing more than a self-interested grasp at power, and a distraction from the abhorrent events that occurred in Gaza over the last two years.

The United States of America continue their long-term economic crusade against Western Asia, spear-headed by a fascistic demagogue who has done nothing but circumvent the rules of the land he proclaims to love and wishes to make great again. He has vocally declared war without approval of congress, instituted a gestapo-like police force to persecute innocent hard-working Americans, illegal or not, and has consistently failed not only the international world, but his own citizens with his proto-protectionist economic policies that have tanked both the US stock market, and economy. Not to mention his documented associations with Jeffery Epstein, and the hundreds of sexual crimes alleged against him. This is not the quest to liberate Iranians; it is a dollar hegemony with freedom draped over it.

The Iranian Regime are not the friends of Palestine they make themselves out to be, they exist for nothing other than the establishment of a wider fundamentalist Islamic regime, they are not the dark horses in this race, but simply another parasite who only seek to further their ideology. They have begun bombing innocent people in Bahrain, families are being killed for nothing other than their mere association with the USA, they are involving more nations and will not think twice about spilling innocent blood. The Iranian Regime are not the freedom fighters against imperialism; they are another form of it fighting the most accepted kind.

The Arab nations are silently complicit and have been so since the conclusion of the Yom Kippur war, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the UAE, every nation you can think of has allowed the transgressions of the western countries to continue insofar as they reap the economic benefits. No matter how many diplomatic statements they have made, not one has stepped up in a way that matters. Their silence is not a form of cowardice, it is explicit collaboration, grounded in the calculation that silence is profitable.

Do not fall victim to partisanship, do not submit to complacency, refuse to be just another cog in a wider machine. No one is coming to save you. Not demagogues like Trump and Netanyahu, nor engagement grifters like Farage who exist purely to distract us from the true evils of this world, nor cowards like Starmer who prioritise diplomacy over the flourishing of his nation. Refuse to be complicit, refuse to worship men who are no better than you are.

The only way we move this world even a fraction closer to our vision of peace and prosperity, is if we refuse to engage with pointless bureaucracy, engage our shared rationality and our refusal to put others on a pedestal. Refuse to be a puppet in a show that you never agreed to be a part of. Find within yourself the ability to forbid engagement with pointless spectacle, call out hypocrisy where you see it, and refuse to bow the knee to false idols. You have nothing to lose but your complacency.
